Workers Compensation Recovery Specialist

Job Summary

To support a dynamic team in a growing industry, the remote Workers Compensation Recovery Specialist will evaluate referred accounts for compliance with WC guidelines, manage client inventories, submit appeals for unpaid or underpaid bills, and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of accounts, including new, priority, aged, and high dollar accounts, ensuring efficient revenue cycle recovery
• Prepare and submit appeals with required documentation in a timely manner while resolving outstanding issues causing payment delays
• Maintain clear and professional communication with patients, employers, and payer representatives throughout the account resolution process

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 to 3 years of experience handling Workers' Compensation bills
• Proven results in collecting on hospital claims from insurance companies
• Experience reviewing EOBs and appealing underpayments
