Job Summary
Reviewing life insurance applications, the remote Wyoming Licensed Underwriting Screener will evaluate medical and non-medical information to determine policy issuance and coordinate additional underwriting requirements as needed.
Key responsibilities
- Review life insurance applications for unanswered questions and risk factors requiring additional underwriting review
- Evaluate medical and non-medical information, including MIB reports, MVRs, and prescription histories
- Order necessary underwriting requirements based on company guidelines
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute
- At least six months of experience in an Underwriting Department or four years in a non-entry-level position (LG4 or higher)
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and use required software packages
- Score of 98% or higher on the Dean Vaughn Medical Terminology course
