Job Summary
Leading business development initiatives, the full-time remote Youth Development Principal Researcher will manage a portfolio of research, evaluation, and technical assistance projects, focusing on areas such as adolescent health and youth economic mobility while nurturing client relationships and mentoring junior staff.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing thought leadership and expanding AIR's presence in youth development through innovative marketing and business plans
- Managing complex research studies and evaluations as principal investigator or project director, ensuring quality and timely execution
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and funders to grow the portfolio of youth development work
Required qualifications:
- Ph.D. in a relevant field with at least 7 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 11 years of relevant experience
- Over 10 years of project leadership experience, including proposal writing and external relationship management
- Established reputation and connections in youth development and related fields
- Proven track record of winning competitive contracts and grants from various funding organizations
- Experience leading teams on large, complex projects to ensure excellence and adherence to budgets
