z/OS Administrator
Job Summary
Experienced z/OS Administrators will find a hybrid opportunity focused on managing IBM z/OS operating systems, performing upgrades, and maintaining system configurations while working in a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee installation and maintenance of z/OS, including version upgrades and ISV products
- Manage incidents related to z/OS and perform system performance monitoring and reporting
- Handle mainframe LPAR builds and maintain system parameters and parmlib configurations
Required qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of IBM z/OS operating systems (up to z/OS 3.1 and above)
- Experience with Parallel Sysplex concepts and mainframe LPAR builds
- Strong technical skills in SMPE, RMF, SMF, WLM, and zOSMF
- Proven ability to manage z/OS performance and incident resolution
- Familiarity with system z architecture
