Zscaler Engineer
Job Summary
To support an enterprise identity and secure access modernization initiative, the part-time Zscaler Engineer will design, implement, and operationalize a Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) environment, focusing on replacing legacy VPNs with a Zero Trust architecture for a large user base, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) architectures, including access policies and application segments
- Configure ZPA tenants with secure platform standards and develop Zscaler Client Connector configurations that coexist with third-party VPN clients
- Produce detailed documentation and operational runbooks, providing technical guidance and knowledge transfer to internal teams
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) in enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and application-centric access controls
- Experience with Zscaler Client Connector and integrating Zscaler logging with SIEM platforms
- Knowledge of enterprise networking concepts including DNS, routing, and firewall rules
- Experience developing migration plans for onboarding organizations and applications
