zTPF Software Development Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a zTPF Software Development Engineer, the full-time remote position will enhance and maintain the stability of zTPF complexes while providing technical expertise, supporting automation, monitoring, and operational tasks across development and implementation life cycles.
Key responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operations of the TPF environment and monitor system health
- Assist with troubleshooting production issues and participate in testing new applications and infrastructure changes
- Create and maintain operational documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
Required qualifications
- Experience with operations in an IBM zTPF environment
- Knowledge of IBM Z hardware and software technologies
- Understanding of the z/TPF operating system
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Assembler, Java, REXX, and Python
- Knowledge of ITIL principles and processes
