Job Summary
A company is looking for an Applications Development Test Software Design Engineer 1.
Responsibilities:
- Work on MS SQL performance team to ensure optimal and competitive performance of on-prem and AzureSQL software
- Understand code and ask relevant questions to determine program optimization and performance
- Conduct low-level testing and benchmarking for machines added to Azure to ensure intended functionality
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, preferably with a master's degree from a tier 1 university
- Familiarity with data structures and ability to analyze code for optimization
- Strong understanding of databases, SQL, tables, indexes, locks & spinlocks, etc
- Experience with hardware and processors
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C#, Bash, C, C++, PowerShell, or Python
