Job Summary
A company is looking for an ASL-VRI interpreter to provide language support to Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide interpreting and transliterating services primarily in healthcare settings
- Facilitate communication using American Sign Language, spoken English, cultural mediation, and knowledge of accessibility
- Maintain confidentiality of medical information and adhere to professional codes of conduct
Qualifications:
- Complete proficiency in ASL
- Valid certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID)
- Knowledge of the NAD-RID Professional Code of Conduct
- Self-motivated with good customer service skills
