Indiana Licensed Sign Language Interpreter
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to provide virtual interpreting services for K12 students in Indiana.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time ASL interpretation during virtual classroom instruction and school-related activities
- Facilitate clear, effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students, educators, and peers
- Support IEP implementation and accurately document service delivery
Qualifications:
- EIPA score of 3.5+, or current certification through RID or NIC
- Previous experience working in K12 educational settings (virtual experience preferred)
- Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and English
- Knowledgeable in educational interpreting standards and student-centered practices
- Access to reliable high-speed internet, webcam, and headset
