Job Summary

A company in the publishing industry is seeking an Associate Editor.

Position Responsibilities:

• Supervise staff reporters and freelancers, helping them to develop story ideas and prioritize coverage
• Edit several articles daily and take the lead on editing newsletters
• Assist reporters in developing story ideas around their beats and the global development calendar, meet daily deadlines, and work with a dedicated team of reporters and editors tackling the big issues in global development

Required Qualifications:

• Can work GMT/CET hours
• 5-7 years of work experience as a journalist/editor
• Strong editing skills; preferably experience managing reporters
• Excellent English writing skills, with the ability to write engaging, compelling, conversational copy
• Digital media expertise
• An undergraduate degree
