Job Summary
A company is looking for a Medical Coder-Professional Surgical (Remote).
Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and assign ICD diagnosis codes and CPT codes for various medical procedures
- Apply medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, surgical technology, pharmacology, and disease processes in coding
- Ensure compliance with coding standards and departmental procedures
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of relevant coding courses within one year of hire
- Experience in the medical field or with CPT and HCPCS coding
- Coding certification from recognized organizations within three years of hire
- Preferred: Associate degree in Medical Billing and Coding or related field
- Preferred: Experience in physician/professional surgical coding
