Data Science AVP

Job Summary

A company is looking for an AVP, Data Science (L11).

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute machine learning use cases including model prioritization, development, testing, and deployment
• Develop and validate statistical and machine learning models while managing a team of data scientists
• Extract and manipulate datasets from source systems and manage projects with proactive stakeholder communication

Required Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field with 6+ years of hands-on analytics/data science experience, or 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
• 6+ years of experience with SQL, SAS/Python, Pyspark, Scala, and Hive Tools, and proficiency in machine learning algorithms
• Experience in automating ML model training processes and handling large datasets
• Background in the US credit card or banking industry
• Strategic thinker with a strong grasp of business aspects related to financial drivers and credit card dynamics
