Job Summary
A company is looking for a Fiction Editor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and respond to unsolicited fiction submissions with assistance from staff readers
- Discuss selections with the Editor and staff to finalize content for each issue
- Oversee staff readers, provide feedback, and solicit work from admired writers and translators
Required Qualifications:
- Hold a BA, possibly also an MA, MFA, or PhD, in literature or a related field
- Familiarity with the New England Review and contemporary writing landscape
- Substantial publication record
- Some editorial experience with a literary magazine or publisher is helpful
- Must be able to read manuscripts online and work remotely
