Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coder Inpatient.
Key Responsibilities
- Abstract, code, sequence, and interpret clinical information from various medical records
- Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and procedure codes with accurate sequencing
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and track productivity in specified systems
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
- A minimum of two to four years of current production coding experience in acute care and profee
- Must hold certifications such as CPC, COC, CIC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CCS-P
- 2+ years of inpatient coding experience
- Experience with Epic and CAC is required
