Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coder - Inpatient DRG Coding.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures for coding
- Translate diagnostic and procedural phrases into coded form using Encoder software
- Assist in training new coding staff and ensure compliance with coding guidelines
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience required
- Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (AAPC) or equivalent required
- Experience with DRG coding and familiarity with ICD10-PCS preferred
