Job Summary
A company is looking for a Manager of Java Application Development to lead and grow a team of developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of 15 onshore web developers and oversee offshore teams
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, project deadlines, and effective resource allocation
- Act as a technical lead on development projects and contribute hands-on coding as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of hands-on Technical Lead or Technical Project Manager experience
- Expert-level knowledge in Java
- 3+ years in leadership or management roles within a technical development environment
- Strong understanding of legacy code transformation and modernization projects
