Job Summary
A company is looking for a Mainframe Application Architect.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expertise on mainframe middleware (CICS, DB2, MQ, IMS) and serve as the primary expert
- Collaborate with the managed service provider to implement middleware upgrades and optimize interfacing
- Drive proof of concepts for modernization efforts and assist developers in maximizing platform utilization
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with mainframe middleware (CICS, DB2, MQ, IMS)
- 5+ years of core z/OS and major subsystem experience (JES, WLM, job schedulers, RACF)
- Experience in building/exposing APIs around mainframe data
- Strong middleware debugging and problem investigation skills
- Experience migrating application workloads on and off the mainframe
