Mainframe Performance Engineer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Mainframe Performance and Capacity Planning Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evaluate z/OS-based performance data, establishing trends and workload forecasts
- Write policies and define classes for Workload Management (WLM)
- Utilize real-time monitoring tools and analyze mainframe performance data
Required Qualifications
- Experience in mainframe performance and capacity planning, including batch, CICS, DB2, and MQ
- Proficient in real-time monitoring tools such as TMON, Performance Analyzer, and Omegamon
- Experience with developing or modifying SAS/MXG programs and analyzing SMF and RMF records
- Preferred bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required due to government contract
