Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze billing for medical appropriateness and compliance
• Apply national coding and regulation standards to claims
• Research and review individual claims and documentation

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum completion of medical license or coding certification
• Minimum 2 years of coding experience
• Knowledge of hospital and professional claim billing requirements
• Knowledge of payer reimbursement policies and medical necessity criteria
• Auditing and health information management experience preferred
