Medicare Medical Review Coder Specialist
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Medical Review Coder Specialist (Medicare).
Responsibilities:
- Analyze medical records to validate coding and assignment on hospital claims
- Review codes, diseases, conditions, and procedures on hospital records
- Conduct in-depth claims analysis utilizing coding principles
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Active Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) certification
- Minimum of four years of experience in inpatient, acute care coding for Medicare reimbursement
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) certification
- ICD-10-CM/PCS Coding experience
