MIPS Medical Coder
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Medical Coder - MIPS for a remote contract position in the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the MIPS audit process by reviewing patient charts and comparing them to MIPS quality measure specifications
- Determine whether providers met the requirements of the quality measure
- Document charts reviewed and communicate findings to managers on a biweekly basis
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with the MIPS Quality program or other structured healthcare quality data capture programs
- At least 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Coder
- High proficiency in learning new software applications
- Must be willing to comply with independent contractor guidelines
