Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coder Outpatient.
Key Responsibilities
- Abstract, code, sequence, and interpret clinical information from various medical records
- Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and procedure codes while ensuring accurate sequencing
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and track productivity levels
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
- Minimum of three years of current production coding experience in acute care
- Credential through AHIMA or AAPC
- Experience working in an outpatient setting at a teaching facility or trauma level 1 facility
- Experience with Cerner and 3M systems
