Job Summary
A company is looking for a Principal Scientist, Molecular Design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple pipeline programs through hit exploration and hit-to-lead, setting strategies for progression into lead optimization
- Manage multiple direct reports leading efforts on pipeline projects
- Design small molecules using high-throughput computational tools and collaborate with various teams to develop generative design tools
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS/Ph.D in computational, organic, or medicinal chemistry, or a related field
- 7 or more years of experience as a computational or medicinal chemist in industry
- Publications and patents demonstrating design contributions
- Experience with ligand-based and structure-based methods for small molecule design
- Familiarity with Python and RDKit
