Remote Healthcare Underwriting Assistant

Job Summary

An employee benefits provider has a current position open for a Remote Healthcare Underwriting Assistant.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Developing strong relationships with stop loss carriers to negotiate best possible terms for clients
• Providing support to underwriter to help mentor, guide and answer more complex questions on cases
• Reviewing issued stop loss carrier policies to ensure accuracy before delivery to client manager and client

Position Requirements Include:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 3 years Underwriting experience or equivalent experience in healthcare industry
• Proficient in MS Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Analytical skills including the ability to make recommendations
• Ability to shift priorities and focus on new task or challenges as needed
• Ability to problem solve and think outside of the box to create customized solutions
