Job Summary
An employee benefits provider has a current position open for a Remote Healthcare Underwriting Assistant.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Developing strong relationships with stop loss carriers to negotiate best possible terms for clients
- Providing support to underwriter to help mentor, guide and answer more complex questions on cases
- Reviewing issued stop loss carrier policies to ensure accuracy before delivery to client manager and client
Position Requirements Include:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 3 years Underwriting experience or equivalent experience in healthcare industry
- Proficient in MS Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Analytical skills including the ability to make recommendations
- Ability to shift priorities and focus on new task or challenges as needed
- Ability to problem solve and think outside of the box to create customized solutions
