Remote Inpatient Rehab Coder
Job Summary
A developer of speech recognition applications is seeking a Remote Inpatient Rehab Coder.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Acting as a mentor to training coders and/or new hires by providing education and training
- Selecting the principal diagnosis and principal procedure
- Reviewing Medical Records to identify pertinent diagnoses and procedures
Qualifications for this position include:
- CCS Licensed
- Minimum of 1 year Rehab Inpatient coding experience
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS coding principles and guidelines
- Extensive knowledge of DRG Assignment, MCC/CC capture, federal, state and payor-specific regulations and policies pertaining to documentation, coding, and billing
- Understands medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, surgical technology, pharmacology, and disease processes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
