Job Summary
A major, multi-faceted healthcare system company has an open position for a Remote Senior Inpatient Medical Coding Specialist.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Reviewing and analyzing documentation present in the medical record for inpatient, outpatient and/or professional services
- Working on assign diagnoses/procedure codes as described by the physician(s) of record
Position Requirements Include:
- Prior coding experience in ICD-10-CM diagnoses/procedure coding and HCPCS/CPT procedure coding
- High school diploma
- RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC or CIRCC to be completed within 6 months of employment
- Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding classification systems in an acute care/hospital setting
