Senior Advisor for Disability
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Advisor (Disability) to support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Civil Rights (OCR).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expert advice on policy and compliance issues related to OCR's disability portfolio
- Conduct research and prepare briefings and documents for OCR leadership on disability-related matters
- Coordinate outreach activities and make recommendations for improving program efficiencies within OCR's disability initiatives
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school or a Master's degree with four years of specialized experience in disability discrimination
- Expert understanding of disability discrimination and service needs of individuals with disabilities
- Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance
- Experience working in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment
- Understanding of the public health or healthcare system
