Senior Environmental Scientist
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Environmental Scientist to support Clean Water Act-related environmental efforts throughout the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general support for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and related water programs, focusing on the western U.S. and territories
- Utilize expertise in stormwater permitting, total maximum daily loads (TMDLs), water quality standards, and tribal programs
- Conduct research and analysis, develop technical reports, and create guidance and training materials
Qualifications and Skills
- More than 20 years of experience in the water sector
- In-depth knowledge of EPA and state policies and programs
- MS, BS, or BA in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Engineering, Public Policy, or a related discipline
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
