Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a long-term contract position.
Key Responsibilities
- Create CAD models for conceptual and detailed designs in nuclear fuel handling
- Maintain large assembly models for performance analysis and create engineering drawings
- Update models and drawings as required and ensure integrity in the product data management system
Required Qualifications and Education
- A minimum of seven years of CAD proficiency, with SolidWorks preferred
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5
- Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
- Experience in Mechanical and Machine Design, preferably in nuclear fuel handling
- Experience using a product data management (PDM) system
