Telecommute Bioinformatician I

Job Summary

A molecular diagnostics company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Bioinformatician I.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Providing analytical insight for business sponsors using data science methodologies against sequence variant datasets
• Contributing to the efficiency and scalability of new and existing solutions utilizing cloud computing and modern architecture
• Assisting with the design, development, validation, and deployment of software to process and persist genomic sequencing data

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Science or related field
• Familiar with containerization and Linux or Unix systems
• K nowledge of cloud computing, distributed processing, data science, bioinformatics, and statistics
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation
