Job Summary

An institution for higher education is filling a position for a Telecommute Senior Data Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Working on cloud technologies and designing scalable and performance-efficient data lake systems
• Creating extract processes for the access layer
• Working with API for data pull and integrating it with other systems data in the EDW

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years experience working in BI/Database Development on Spark, Oracle, SQL Server, or NoSQL environments
• Spark, Scala, Python, SQL, Linux, and Java experience required
• Big Data developing experience - ideally Spark and cloud technologies
• Able to work independently, is self-motivated, and is a strong team player
