Job Summary
A company is looking for a Transmission Line Engineer 3 - Grid.
Key Responsibilities
- Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range and perform structural analysis and design of various structures
- Conduct foundation designs, conductor selection studies, and develop cost estimates and specifications for procurement
- Model transmission lines in PLS-CADD, calculate conductor sags, and review vendor submittals
Required Qualifications
- A degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
- 3 or more years of experience in transmission line engineering
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE
- Related engineering, internship, or co-op work experience
- Knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in technical plans and models
