Accounting Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounting Director to lead financial operations remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full monthly and year-end close process, including general ledger and financial statements
• Evaluate financial processes for automation and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit standards
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience, with 3+ years in a managerial or director-level role
• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment, preferably in tech or media
• Proficient in modern accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct
• Strong Excel skills with experience in financial reporting and reconciliation
• Able to work independently and manage competing deadlines effectively
