Accounts Receivable Follow-Up

Job Summary

A company is looking for an AR Follow-Up Representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Review eligibility, verify insurance benefits, and perform insurance discovery activities to generate clean claims
• Re-bill rejected/denied claims and process queues within appropriate timeframes
• Create documentation in the Accounts Receivable Billing System for claim appeals and update claims as necessary

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or coding and billing certification preferred
• Minimum one year of previous medical billing experience required; ambulance billing experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical transportation processes and relevant terminology
• Familiarity with ICD-9 coding, government coverage guidelines, and HIPAA requirements
• Proficient in Accounts Receivable Billing System and basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
