Job Summary
A company is looking for an Acquisitions Editor for a digital-only publishing project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue publishing opportunities aligned with strategic goals
- Propose new content and manage commissioning process
- Contribute to content strategy and use data analysis to define acquisitions strategy
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge and/or experience with academic and scholarly publishing
- Proven track record of managing commissioning process and project management
- Experience conducting market research and data analysis
- Experience building and utilizing networks within publishing industry and academic/professional communities
- Experience with open-access publishing and digital product development desirable
