Acute Same Day Surgery Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company in the healthcare industry is seeking an Acute Same Day Surgery Medical Coder.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes for outpatient SDS services
• Analyze and correct CCI Edits and Medical Necessity Edits
• Maintain required levels of performance in both coding quality and productivity

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Professional coder certification with credentialing from AHIMA and/or AAPC
• 2+ years of Outpatient Facility coding experience
• ICD-10 experience
• Ability to use a PC in A Windows environment, including Microsoft Excel and EMR systems
