Job Summary
A company is looking for a Medical Coding QA Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit coded charts for compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
- Provide feedback and educational materials to improve documentation and maximize revenue
- Conduct internal coding audits and identify areas for process improvements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Orthopedic Surgery Coder (COSC) certification required
- Minimum of 4 years of coding experience in a multi-specialty practice
- Advanced knowledge of ICD10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines
- Proficiency in medical billing software and EHR systems
