Certified Surgery Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder Certified (Remote) - Surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical record documentation to select appropriate billing codes
• Meet with physicians to resolve coding issues and secure signatures on documentation
• Assist coders with medical terminology and increase physician awareness of documentation requirements

Required Qualifications

• Must possess one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA, CCS, CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A)
• No specific work experience required
• A diploma, certification, or degree is not required
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred
• Associate degree in Medical Coding & Billing is preferred
