Bioinformatics Analyst
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Bioinformatics Analyst II.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, document, and maintain custom RNAseq and other OMICs data-analysis pipelines and front-end tools
- Detect and resolve software bugs and performance issues while providing technical support
- Educate and train colleagues in the usage of bioinformatics tools
Required Qualifications
- Degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, biophysics, biotechnology, or related field
- BS with 2-4 years of experience or MS with typically 0-2 years of experience
- Advanced knowledge in programming languages such as R and Python
- Experience with cloud (AWS), high-performance computing environments (UNIX), and version control systems like Git
- Proficiency in statistical analysis methods and expertise in OMICS data analysis, especially RNAseq
