Job Summary
A company is looking for a Bioinformatics Scripting and Python Programming Adjunct Faculty Member.
Position Responsibilities:
- Designing a syllabus and creating course content aligned with program outcomes
- Facilitating online discussions, providing feedback on student work, and reporting grades
- Developing and managing the course site in the Moodle learning management system
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Bioinformatics and using Linux-based shell scripting, Python programming, and SQL for bioinformatics sequence analysis
- Minimum 1 year of experience with distributed computing systems and cloud computing resources
- Strong programming and scripting experience demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications and/or Github contributions
- Current active employment in the Bioinformatics field or related industry
- Preferred: Previous teaching experience or professional training
