Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity Coding Auditor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of clinical documentation and medical coding for compliance with guidelines and regulations
  • Analyze clinical documentation to identify discrepancies and coding errors affecting accuracy and reimbursement
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance documentation quality and provide education on coding practices
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in health information management or related field preferred
  • Must hold relevant coding certification (e.g., CCS, CPC, CPMA)
  • 3+ years of coding experience in an outpatient healthcare setting
  • Prior experience in clinical documentation improvement (CDI) is highly desirable
  • Extensive knowledge of medical coding systems and guidelines, including ICD-10-CM and CPT
