Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder - Professional (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and assign ICD and CPT codes based on clinical documentation
• Understand and apply medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
• May be trained on reviewing documentation for Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC)

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of coding courses within one year of hire
• Minimum experience in the medical field or with CPT and HCPCS coding
• Coding certification required within three years of hire
• Preferred: Associate degree in Medical Billing and Coding or related field
• Preferred: Experience in physician/professional coding
