A company is looking for a Coder 2 to perform risk adjustment coding tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records for accurate diagnosis code abstraction for various risk adjustment programs
- Code according to ICD-10-CM guidelines and assist with coding audits and special projects
- Mentor new coders and communicate findings to enhance department operations
Required Qualifications
- More than 2 years of medical risk adjustment coding experience
- Nationally certified medical coder (e.g., CRC, CPC, CCS)
- Experience with HCC record abstraction and coding requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines
