Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist III.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-level, complex secondary case reviews to identify gaps in provider documentation
- Ensure clinical documentation accurately reflects care levels, severity of illness, and compliance with regulations
- Develop and implement education plans for providers on documentation principles and their impact on clinical metrics
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health information technology or related field, with relevant certification (RHIT, RHIA, RN, NP, PA, or MD)
- 3-5 years of experience in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) with coded data
- Two years of experience in the role of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist
- Experience analyzing Vizient risk data and AHRQ quality measures
- CCDS or CDIP credential is preferred
