Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coder.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, classify, and abstract clinical data from patients' medical records for coding purposes
- Apply ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines to select and sequence correct diagnostic and procedural codes
- Keep current with coding updates, attend meetings, and maintain coding quality standards
Required Qualifications:
- Post High School education or equivalent
- Two years of professional fee coding experience
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology
- Current certification in CPC, CCS-P, or CCS
- Comprehensive understanding of ICD-10 and coding principles
