Job Summary
A company is looking for a Defined Benefit Plan Administrator.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nondiscrimination, coverage, and top-heavy testing for defined benefit plans in compliance with IRS regulations
- Calculate annual required and discretionary employer contributions based on actuarial valuations
- Assist in the preparation of IRS Form 5500 and support plan audits with necessary documentation
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in defined benefit or retirement plan administration (preferred)
- Ability to read and understand complex documentation related to plan design and compliance
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles for reconciling plan assets and liabilities
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
- Willingness to pursue professional certifications such as QPA or QKA through ASPPA
