Job Summary

A company is looking for an Emergency Department Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign appropriate diagnosis codes using ICD-10-CM code book when needed
• Review and process charts according to department production goals
• Report coding problems or irregularities to Supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding rules and regulations
• At least 6 months of experience in medical coding or related field preferred
• Understanding of medical terminology and physiological systems
• Ability to read and comprehend memos, bulletins, and educational material
• Willingness to perform other non-essential duties as requested by management
