Job Summary
A company is looking for an Emergency Department Coder.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign appropriate diagnosis codes using ICD-10-CM code book as needed
- Review and process charts according to department production goals
- Report coding problems or irregularities to Supervisor
Qualifications / Experience
- ICD-10 knowledge and at least 6 months of experience in medical coding or related field preferred
- Able to read all memos, bulletins, updates, and educational material supplied and be responsible for the content
- Able to perform other non-essential duties that may be requested by BPO Management
