Gas System Design Engineer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a System Design Engineer (Gas) for an advanced nuclear reactor project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of gas and fluid systems from conceptual requirements through final design and commissioning
- Conduct technical trade studies and oversee supplier activities related to gas processing and monitoring equipment
- Prepare and review technical specifications, manage design packages, and support system testing and qualification programs
Qualifications & Experience
- B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear Engineering, or related field from an accredited university
- 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical or gas system design
- Strong experience with piping systems and P&ID development
- In-depth understanding of applicable design codes (ASME BPVC, API, etc.)
- Knowledge of piping analysis and nuclear quality assurance standards (e.g., ASME NQA-1, AS9100, ISO 9001)
