Inpatient Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder - Inpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and apply appropriate ICD-10 and PCS Diagnosis codes for inpatient accounts
• Maintain coding accuracy and productivity standards while ensuring compliance with official coding guidelines
• Collaborate with medical staff to resolve documentation discrepancies and ensure timely coding of charts

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience coding inpatient records
• 3-5 years of experience with ICD-10 and PCS coding
• Must hold one of the following credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CIC
• Must maintain current professional credentials
